EPU - Emergency Power Unit
The Emergency Power Unit was developed at request by Meyers Emergency Power Management, a company based out of New York. They came to us with a unique problem and asked if we could come up with something to solve it. The problem? Power goes out during a disaster situation, how do we keep people affected by the moment connected to authorities and their loved ones?
We knew we needed a highly mobile and deployable solar unit that could be compact during storage but serve as many people as possible.

To get a small insight into the methods and processes I employed to make the Emergency Power Unit, take a look at a post I put together about the design process.
I put this feature video together for our investors and as a feature display for the City of New York who became our first purchaser.

The EPU features:
-
24 charging locations for phones.
-
2 separate 120v AC outlets for tools and mini fridges.
-
Wi-fi enabled by satellite connection.
-
800 Watts of solar power generation.
-
4 direction security lighting.
-
Wall charging for full-power deployment
